A Signature Service

Fashion Color (per session)

Bold color built around your hair's health, not just the trend.

Vivid and pastel color work, priced per session by length, density, and how much lift it needs. Consultation first.

Prep before your appointment

  • Come in with your hair in its natural state, skip the heavy oils or styling products so we can see exactly what we're working with
  • If you have photos of colors you love (or ones you tried and didn't), bring those to your consultation so we can have a real conversation about what's possible
  • Be upfront about any color services you've had elsewhere, including box dye, because that history shapes what your hair can safely take on
  • Try to wash your hair a day or two before your appointment, not the morning of, a little natural oil at the scalp is actually a good thing

Aftercare

  • Switch to a sulfate-free shampoo made for color-treated hair, especially through the summer months when sun and humidity can pull color out faster than you'd expect
  • Rinse with cool water when you can, hot water opens the cuticle and lets color slip out sooner
  • A weekly deep conditioning treatment goes a long way, particularly if you're maintaining a high-lift or fashion shade that required more processing
  • Come back before the color gets to a point you're unhappy with, keeping up with it is easier on your hair and your budget than starting over

Who you'll see

Stylists for Fashion Color (per session)

Fashion color covers a lot of ground, vivids, pastels, color melts, anything that steps away from natural-looking results, and that range is exactly why a real consultation matters before the work begins. Your stylist needs to know your hair's history, its current condition, and what it can realistically handle in a single visit. At Curl Interrupted Salon & Spa in Waco, we'd rather talk you out of something your hair isn't ready for than push it too far and send you home disappointed.

Each session is booked at three hours, which leaves room to work through a lift, toning, or multiple application steps without cutting corners. Guests with previously colored or chemically treated hair should expect the most honest conversation here: fashion shades read truest on a properly prepped base, and your stylist will tell you plainly what's achievable now and what might require another visit. Once you're home, color-safe shampoo and spacing out your washes will help the result hold up, especially through the warmer months when heat and humidity tend to pull color out faster.

Good to know

Can I get fashion color if my hair has been previously colored or chemically treated?

Yes, but your history matters. Previously colored or chemically processed hair may need extra prep before fashion shades apply evenly or show their true tone. Your stylist will assess your hair at the consultation and let you know what's achievable in one session and what might take a staged approach.

How much does fashion color cost at Curl Interrupted Salon & Spa?

Fashion color at Curl Interrupted starts at $150 per session. The final cost can vary based on the complexity of the look, the number of application steps involved, and your hair's starting point, so a consultation is the best way to get an accurate picture.

How long does a fashion color session take?

At Curl Interrupted Salon & Spa, fashion color sessions are booked at 180 minutes. Depending on your hair's length, density, and how much prep work is needed before the color goes on, your stylist will use that time to work through each step properly.
