Tape-In Install (hair separate)

Flat, secure extensions applied with heat-activated tape for a blend that moves with your hair

Installation of tape-in wefts, blended and cut in. The hair itself is quoted separately at consultation.

Prep before your appointment

  • Arrive with clean, completely dry hair, no conditioner, oil, or product from the roots down to where the tape will sit
  • If you color or treat your hair regularly, let us know at booking so we can plan the install around your hair's current condition
  • The hair in this service is sold separately, so reach out before your appointment if you have questions about what length or weight to order
  • Come ready to talk openly about your hair goals and your maintenance routine, that conversation helps us get the placement right

Aftercare

  • Wait at least 48 hours before washing, and keep water and steam away from the bonds during that window
  • Use a sulfate-free shampoo and apply conditioner only from mid-shaft to ends, keeping product off the tape bonds
  • In humid weather, moisture in the air can work its way into the bonds over time, so regular maintenance appointments matter more than you might expect
  • Brush gently from ends upward using a loop or extension-safe brush, starting slow until you get a feel for the tension

Who you'll see

Stylists for Tape-In Install (hair separate)

Tape-in extensions lay flat against the scalp and are a solid choice for adding length, density, or both without a lot of bulk. The install runs about two hours, so it's worth blocking out your afternoon. Because hair is purchased separately, your stylist can help you nail down the right color and texture match before your appointment day, which makes the actual install go much smoother.

At Curl Interrupted Salon & Spa in Waco, the consultation before your install is where a lot of the real work happens. Your stylist will look at your hair's current condition, talk through realistic expectations, and make sure tape-ins are actually the right fit for where your hair is right now. That conversation up front saves a lot of headaches later.
